The most minor complaint I have is the fact that you need 500 points to reach top rank. You're not going to be lucky enough to farm enough blue phantoms, so your best bet is going to be the dueling arena.
Let's assume that you're decent at PvP and you avoid any players who resort to cheap, underhanded shit. Let's assume you can breeze through any match you start.
That's literally 500 matches you need to win to reach top rank. Again, this is assuming that you don't lose any matches. You have to grind through 500 of those fucking things, per character, to get the third rank and get access to that sub-par pyromancy. That's fucking obnoxious busywork, at best.
I also don't understand why they completely removed the Red Eye Orb from Dark Souls 2. You have to farm cracked red eye orbs through the morons at the Copse, which is simple but tedious busywork, or they all go to the guys who perform the best in the arena PvP, who are usually completely unbalanced against the PvE guys they invade.
Dark Souls 2 had so many fucking problems and it's clear that the devs made decisions without really thinking about them.

It's not that it's difficult, it's just tedious and uninspired to say the least. With the exception of Sir Alonne, Team 2 couldn't give two shit about bonus bosses in the DLC.

That's a myth and proven not to work. It only unlocks in NG++, which means you have to beat the game twice.
