Why don't you own a Wii U yet?
I do own one, but I can't find it under all the dust
I bought a WiiU on launch. The real question is - why do we still bother with this facade we live? This idea that these low quality products make us happy but we'll never be happy... There's no Metroid...

I do own a WiiU, and I love it c:
I do. It makes a decent doorstopper.
It's better than Island overall.
Bosses are less diverse but Boss theater makes it better than the original.
Health mechanics makes it better than original.
In many ways they are similar or not better than one another, but this game edges out the original with some little things and just doing the same things well.
Everyone here owns one, dumbass.
The real question is, why does Nintendo have to release all this overpriced filler that no one asked for when they could be working on a new F-Zero, Paper Mario or Metroid?

Fans of niche series get really upset.
I'm a fan of all of those series but I'm not crazy enough to think they are prioritized higher by the larger fan base.
Also I'm glad Wii-U offered one major new IP that did tremendously as well.

Jesus Christ starring 5-1 made me want to self-flagellate. I don't think the same segment of a level has had more shit go wrong each run in different ways since sonic 06. Whoever thought making that last snowball segment capable of instantly killing you and THEN slapping your shit with no hearts at fucking all after the last checkpoint needs to get fucking punched in the face.
God damn it I got through 4-S faster than that slog. At least 4-S was crazy as fuck, made no checkpoints bearable and I was expecting a crazy fucking level after the circus that was 3-S. But 5-1? Fuck me. I have not gotten this pissed in a long time.

I just got a Wii U, are these games worth their price? Only care about 4 player multiplayer:
-That clay Kirby game
-Mario Tennis Ultra smash (I know it's panned but is it because it's shit orbecause of a lack of content)
-Mario Party 10
-Game and Wario
-Wonderful 101 (I know it's a good game, but is it still properly playable with 4 people)
-Tekken Tag 2 (Is the online dead?)

Bought it because smash looked promising and I'd suck a dick for some good donkey kong. The Bayonetta 2 demo was fun but I never fucking see the actual game in stores and absolutely nothing else this year looks remotely interesting. Besides, why would I care about an ultracasual baby game? Only yoshi game that was even so much as decent was yoshi's island.
We'll probably have proper Wii U emulation by the end of 2017 at any rate, too.

Proper isn't really 15 FPS though on 2 games.
It will forever have Project 64 tier emulation because the hack fraud that started it up decided to keep it closed source, dooming it to failure. Only a complete dicksucker would argue that closed source emulation is good.

Nintendoland was pretty good for a pack-in. Spent hours on the Zelda thing with the gf. Still play it sometimes.
I think I was high when I bought Wii Party U. Mostly collects dust, but it's fun in a party setting where most of the people aren't gamers.

If you liked Yoshi's Island, you will like Woolly World. I got it on a whim and was really pleasantly surprised. It's not as challenging as Dong Freeze, but it has its moments.
