Frankly I've tried but it's one part laziness for why I haven't continued but the other part I am terrible with languages, especially Japanese that requires a stupid amount of bulk memorization.
I really want to. I feel like at least should try getting the basics of the language so much of my entertainment originally comes from.
I'm busy with Uni now but I'm planing on taking Japanese classes for extra points later on.

My advice to faggots serious about learning japanese is to find a japanese friend. I'm not even kidding, and it's not as hard as it seems. If you live in an area with a large japanese community like where I live in south cali then try to get a job at mitsuwa or something. Depending on how good you are you can get a bachelors degree in whatever and go to japan to teach english. If you do this you will naturally get better in a few years unless you are retarded. But either way having someone to talk japanese with will help you greatly. People make it out like it's the hardest shit ever but it really isn't. It's just a matter of how dedicated you are.

Yesterday, I met some of my friends at the beer garden who came home for Christmas for some drinks. My friend was showing around his other friend from Japan, who was a qt3.14, and was leaving the next day.
After some drinks, karaoke, and food, we both got drunk, chilled at the park and hooked up a little bit, and then I ended up dropping her home at her hotel. I could barely communicate in Japanese and she with her broken engrish, but it was amazing and it still happened
