It's not losing I'm mad with anymore, it's the bullshit that leads up to a completely unavoidable loss unless I had the precognition to do something different ten seconds ago.
I haven't read any Buddhist texts or gone to mindfulness courses or anything of that sort so I don't have definite knowledge on how they work, but as far as I can tell, what I do could be described as meditation.
I've trained myself to observe my conscious and emotional state and acknowledge it unjudgementally ("my nose itches... Ok." "I'm now breathing in and feeling the air fill my lungs.... Ok." "I feel a bit tired and feel like having a fap... Ok." "So what exactly what was the quadratic formula?" "Ok.") such that when I feel angry, disappointed or agitated, I can go back to what I've practised and push those feelings aside and simply acknowledge their presence and pay them no further heed.
