Oh, great, this sounds a bit annoying.
Using RE5 as an example, all the bgms are stored as ".sngw", but can be renamed as ".ogg", with metadata (LOOPSTART and LOOPEND) determining loop points, in samples.
However, you also have to hexedit a separate file - the music definitions - using the sample length of the song you want to change as a searchpoint, and replacing certain offsets according to the duration and looppoints in reverse hexadecimal. For RE5, I'm not concerned, but this could be problematic for DDDA.
Guess I'll just wait for release to see if anyone can be arsed to do a thing about it.
