MGS2 has the best story of the franchise.
I've played 1,3 and 4 and haven't touched 5 yet, but I want to rectify this mistake and go back to 1. From what I've heard of 2 it sounds like my kind of thing.
1 and 2 were the best.
1 had the best atmosphere/mood. 2 had the best storytelling/bosses/levels.
5 has the best gameplay.
It's cute when people try their hardest to pretend that 3 isn't the best in the franchise.

It's good but not the best. It doesn't always take itself seriously and that takes me out of the message. Plus the meta-commentary? Undertale did that better. Maybe Undertale is more on the nose but at least it takes itself seriously on all counts.
