The PC version is good.
Actually the N64 version is pretty well optimized and looks decent with an Expansion Pak (as long as you've plugged your N64 into a scaler by RGB that is).

still has a number of bizarre issues though, here's all the shit i encountered until i gave up halfway through:
- game runs faster than it should half the time
- sliding doesn't work
- when i enter the anti-grav tunnels in oovo iv i get stuck in the middle, completely unable to maneuver and crashing into every rock
- can't steer at all if one of the engines suffers any kind of serious damage
