Are you able to see the airdodge when you wavedash anon? If you do just practice doing the airdoge closer to when you jump.
Personally I do a quarter-circle (on the top of course) either backwards or forwards, pressing the shield button as I move the analog stick vertically. I find it easier than fucking about with pressing either the y or x buttons to do it.

Hbox has had mango's number basically all year now. Mango's getting fucked out of the top five by a lot of players. Also leffen doesn't have a great record against him either.
Really it's Armada right now who is the only Hbox slayer and even then it's only narrowly on NTSC. PAL was exactly what he needed. Dr. Penispenis has also been good against Hbox in the past but it's obvious his health stuff has been fucking him up for some time now in the latter half of the year.
Honestly Hbox isn't gonna win Gen3sis, but he'll be top 3 guaranteed, probably even 2nd. He's a phenomenal player who takes an engineer's approach to the game.
