No. This is bait.
But it was one of the greatest games when it came out. Not as revolutionary as SMB1 or Zelda, but it was the best damn sequel to a previous game, ever.
SMW is more polished and the slightly better game, SM64 and SMB are more revolutionary, but SMB3 is right up there with them, and truly one of the best games ever made.

I really like SMB3. I think it looks really good and has a lot of really fantastic levels. Even the way things sound is really memorable. I think it's the best mario game by default. Super Mario World is way better, but only when you get into romhacks because the original levels were kind of weak.

How can anyone think this? The level design is mostly bland, and the level themes range from green ground, grey ground, brown ground, let's just throw a few trees in the background, and a bridge. The only unique thing are the boo houses.
At least SMB3's level designs changed with the themes. All of the level in SMW have the same basic design throughout.
