There is no reliable way to play shadow of the empire, the PC version doesn't work well on modern OS's and the N64 emulation is pretty glitchy.

Probably biased because SoT is one of my favorite games of all time, but the platforming and story in that game definitely hold up. The combat is outdated, but if you know the right combos you can whip through the combat parts and focus on the platforming. It's still really fun.

God damn I loved playing N64 at my friends house as a kid. Bought one and loaded up my favorites and missed titles when I got older. Not been that disappointed since Episode 1. Mario Kart is the only damn one that held up so far. Maybe Zelda. Goldeneye , Mario 64, and anything with a need for precision just felt slow or awkward.

Yeah for GE the stick was for moving forward/backwards and turning, the c-buttons for aiming. Shit was awful. Luckily the game had multiple control schemes, one of which, Solitaire, was exactly like Turok's.

Shadows of the Empire is the true GOAT Star wars game. Likewise Turok 64 is gonna kick some major ass when I replay it today with keyboard and mouse + 60 fps. Can't fucking wait.
