It's some monster hunter thing.
They did have the costume list expand without a patch though from what I could tell, so I guess we can't really hope for anything soon.
Gettin kind of annoyed since there's still not even a date for the web portal, and it's supposed to be this month.

MK8 updates didn't start coming until 6 months after release, so I'd say wait until maybe February for them to say something, then give up hope.

More Metroid than Mario, this course is a big adventure with a flashy ending. It's somewhat challenging, but there are no cheap deaths.
Check out the prequel on my profile. It's a little harder, but it's also a little shorter. If anyone beats any of my Magikoopa courses, I'll play everything you've made.

There were probably a ton of costumes fully added in the last patch, and they're just revealing them one row at a time through some online trigger.
