If you already have a gaming PC and/or a PS4, I don't see why you would want an XBone unless you really, really want to play Halo, Gears, Rare Replay, and maybe Scalebound in the future.
You'll get sick of the 3DS in three years since you'll be able to play all the games to completion in that time.
Meanwhile, it'll take 3 years for the XBONE to install the game, download the update and install the updates, not to mention controller firmware update and system update.

Buy a used 3DS or save a little and invest in a New 3DS with that crisp superior screen.
I know the 3DS XL's image still looks good, but what irks me is the bigger/clunkier controls and not being able to fit it into your pocket. I've carried my 3DS around in public and forgotten I had it on me before. But with XL you can't even do that.

I take my 3DS with me whenever I'm going out with my mom and her step-kids, or my cousin's house because her step-kids also always want to play.
It's handy being able to carry a portable with you, when it's actually portable unlike the PSP, Vita, DSi XL, 3DS XL.
