Donkey Kong hasn't been relevant since Rare died, Kirby already has its three most iconic characters from the series, Metroid hasn't been relevant since Prime and died with Other M.
Aside from Mario and Pokemon, Fire Emblem is one of Nintendos living franchises which happens to do pretty well in Japan, which is more important to Nintendo than people still wanking over Donkey Kong 64.

Some Anons pointed out in an earlier bread that FE was basically one of THE first grid-based strategy RPGs and was actually pretty influential, along with being one of the oldest Nintendo franchises and being fairly popular in Japan, so with that in mind, it actually totally deserves a fair bit of representation.
