One of the characters in Akiba's Trip is a guy that pretends to be a girl on the in-game messageboards and constantly mentions it every time they post. Another character is an asshole who takes jabs at everyone. At one point, the asshole responds to the other character with "Shut your mouth, you goddamned trap."
This spawned a heap of retards flipping their shit and going off at Xseed, particularly on Twitter. Hatsuu was in charge of the Twitter then and got most of the abuse, and after someone was threatening to kill themselves over it she had a breakdown and quit Twitter for something like 5 months. They replaced her with someone else for the PR account, but her own account is up again now. She's kind of a cunt though.

Now that you mention it, I'm not sure when Tom got replaced. He was definitely in charge of the Twitter before Hatsuu, and I know he was on there defending the term for a while.
