Will there ever be a better science fiction vidya setting than 40k?

This, I enjoy serious universes where the characters are still human and have fun, crack wise, etc. Real problems can exist, that doesn't mean the characters need to be hardcore serious all the fucking time (except for one token goof ball. I'm looking at you Halo Guardians).

When will GW get back to making art?
But it's not sci-fi, it's fantasy in space. Whole universe set mainly on elder gods, magic etc, not on the laws of physics, there is no science, even orcs fire their weapons because they are psionics not because they have technologies (they don't).

Warhammer is both

There IS science, but it's either unexplained, magic alien tech, magic ancient hyper-advanced human tech, regular human tech, or just plain actual magic.
There's more fantasy than scifi, but to disregard its sci fi parts is wrong.

Yeah, I agree. The newer stuff with the didact and the prometheans is iffy in my book, but the human covenant war and its origins is some of the best sci-fi imo. The books are really good.
