The greatest video game of all time is getting a complete ground-up HD remake. what an amazing time to be alive, you can experience the original adventure with all the amazing characters again but with a modern engine.
Honestly, not to bothered that its arpg, as long as I can control all party members. And maybe a bit disappointed that its episodic, but its probably for the better. Just hope that the first installment will include at least all the Midgar sections of the game.
Also, is it possible for an open world game to be episodic? Although FF7 was hardly that open world in the first place, it was just like go from this town to this town, and you can't go anywhere else cause of mountains or rivers or whatever.

If the game retains all story content of the original, including world exploration, manual flight and submarine control, all minigames, and other optional content I have failed to mention, I'll eat a used baby wipe.

I don't know man. I just finished FF7 yesterday and honestly I have no idea how they are supposed to release this game 'episodic'.
It's really big and if they do it like Telltale, will get 3 hours of gameplay every couple of months. That's not how I want to play this classic.
Any else going to just wait till all episodes are released before buying?
