Forza seems to be a beloved series.
The Crew has been pretty mixed from what I've seen.

If you didn't care about graphics you would have just downloaded Porsche Unleashed or NFSII
Forza / Forza Horizon has been the best console racer for 10 years or so. No other franchise comes even close. I bought a xbone instead of PS4 strickly because of Forza
