Did it even get a Europe/PAL release? I've never ever seen it in any store, not even used.

Do you like games that are unique and decent? Then yes.
But the story is shit, the writing is shit, the characters are shit, and the music is shit.
Pretty much only worth playing because it's "different" with an interesting battle system.

It was a game that left a really deep impression on me- the only others that I remember as clearly are FF6, 9, and CT (also FF8 but only because what the fuck was that plot)
