Is there a way to get unlimted souls so I don't have to die?
Just farm outside witches adobe on the big guys with axes. Make sure to equip the runes that give you extra echoes.

There is one trick like this, but it might kind of ruin the rest of the game by making it too easy, so you may not want to hear it.
You have to go to____git__and kill the beast near him.
Then, it will drop_____gudwhich you can put in your weapon to increase it's damage dramatically.

No you
>First playthrough, up to Rom
>Decide to do the DLC
>mfw Ludwig
Jesus Christ I haven't died this many times on a Souls boss since the first time fighting Biggie Smalls.
Also are there any other good heavy weapons for someone who pretty much always used greatswords in Souls games besides Ludwig's Holy Blade? I feel like I'm relying too heavily on it. There are other weapons I think are cool, like the Stake Driver, and I use them sometimes, but whenever things get tough (like this whole fucking DLC) I always wind up going back to Ludwig's.

This actually reeks of double or triple falseflag

>Playing through the game
>Fighting Ludwig
>He kicks my shit in, every single time
>Want to summon Henriett, but don't
>See a thread on /v/ about how only 7% of players have managed to beat Ludwig
>Someone mentions how most of those people probably ended up summoning someone anyway
>Fucking decide I'm gonna do it solo
>Keep practicing
>Keep learning his moves
>Eventually, finally, beat him
>It was entirely worth it
The best feeling on earth. Ludwig is without a doubt my favorite boss, maybe ever, there's no way to cheese that fight, you just need skill.
Truly, he was the greatest of the Church Hunters. The Holy Blade himself.

>witches adobe

It's the best kind of burger topping.

>First playthrough, up to Rom
Should probably beat Rom; the area after him is filled with Bloodstone chunks for upgrading your weapon to +9.
>>320197345
I tried summoning two or three times, but now I'm trying to do it solo mostly because Henriett just kept dying when Ludwig was around 2/3 health without really helping all that much, and then I was left to deal with his massively buffed health pool while I still do very little damage.
I can get him to the second phase sometimes now, so that's a start.
>>320196730
LHB and the Holy Moonlight Sword are the only "greatswords" in Bloodborne. Nothing else is like them unless you like shortswords, too, in which case I suggest the Kirkhammer.
>>320197763
I should probably do that. I have a handful of chunks already but haven't been able to decide what to use them on. Common sense says Ludwig's Holy Blade since that has been carrying me up 'til now, but I'm reluctant to do it because I kind of want to find a different weapon.
It's kinda annoying, all the weapons I find cool (Stake Driver, Whirligig Saw, Beast Cutter, etc) all either seem way weaker than LHB or just don't click as well. Meanwhile LHB suits me but is kind of boring, especially since I basically never take it out of greatsword mode so it pretty much feels exactly like how I played every other Souls game.
