Surprise, it's shit.
Dokapon Kingdom is my #2 favorite game of all time. It's an RPG that plays like a board game. You fight monsters to level up/class change, there are dungeons all over with super rare items, hidden rooms, and even rare jobs, and each chapter of the game has its own objectives to handle. It's like if you were playing Dragon Quest but once you rescue the princess, some asshole can beat you up in your weakned state and get all the credit without having to face the dungeon boss.
There's also a pretty basic town system that you can invest in in order to change how the king feels about each player. Some towns produce items the king likes and others things he hates, and you can mail them in other people's name to make it harder for them to win the game. As your favor and value of your assets go up you get a higher ranking at the end of each week.
The player in last place can make a last ditch effort and sacrifice all his towns (probably doesn't have many) in order to become a demon for the next week or so. He can travel through anyone elses towns to spawn a new boss there, create impassible road blocks, lay dozens of traps across the board, force players to fight him (and die horribly), and with enough points reset the whole board. When that week is over he gets experience depending on how hard he fucked everyone over so he can get back in the race.
