I think it's downright broken, considering you can exploit the scenery to climb onto a rock and make a pincushion out of any enemy that tries (and fails miserably) to climb that same rock.

swamps is the worst part. The Vizima outskirts is the best part though.
Dragon's Dogma is the best game to be gothic tincan in.
M&B is good too but the animations are far less satisfying.
At any rate, just keep yourself occupied until next year. We have Dragon's Dogma PC, Kingdom Come, Dark Souls 3 (will probably have vaguely central European armor), and hopefully-but-probably-not Bannerlord.

Although in that one chapter 1 will be really dull because you wont be able to kill anything and you'll have to get adjusted to the game mechanics
Also swamps were pretty atmospheric desu, just run away if you don't want to fight something, also when the dwarfs ask you to help them do it immediately or the quest will fail, as in, don't leave the swamps

Nigga, hunting and scavenging monster parts is your main money maker early-mid game. But you have to train for it. No, Gothic is not a crafters' game and there's barely any armor in it, but every new set you get actually MEANS something and is a significant upgrade.

You have to spend skill points to learn how to properly remove certain things off of animals, like collecting the teeth out of a wolf or even skin it, needless to say that you also need to find someone who knows the craft to teach you. It's also a good way to get shit to barter in trades.
