While I have never played it, I think the fluff I've skimmed over is pretty imaginative and well done, they did a good job bringing the Vampires to modern times. Community also seems nice.
I would very much like Hunter: The Vigil done in the style of old Xcom crossed with Frozen Synapse. Strictly single player with character development akin to Fire Emblem (perma deaths affecting the narrative).

I never got to that part. I played with Toreador, then Ventrue twice and always quit after Chinatown gargoyle, don't have a save either. I'm also playing as female Toreador but seduction isn't the best skill. Malkavian is a neat idea but most 'hallucinations' come from quirky text rather than visual cues. It's the wrong way to do it in my opinion, it's a visual medium rather than textual.

I'd be really surprised if Paradox made the game themselves. I don't know why people think they won't license it out. Especially since Obsidian has shown interest.

Though comparing it to Eyes Wide Shut in any part, even as a reference is pretty insulting to Kubrick. It's a video game, it has no courage to deal with sexual content nor does it have the aesthetic to parry it, unfortunately.
I guess you can make the case for secluded mansions even though you used the wrong Kubrick movie for that.

A proper Bloodlines successor would be awesome of course but realistically it's not going to happen. I really don't think you can make a worthy Bloodlines 2 in this day and age without a respectable budget and Paradox doesn't publish/develop AAA games like that. I'm expecting an isometric RPG which I'd be happy with since I think the tabletop would lend itself relatively well to a D:OS style turn-based system, and they could go crazy with the speech checks without having to voice every single line of dialogue. I'm hoping for a Fallout/Arcanum successor out of it.

Well that's why I'm saying release an isometric game first to get some more money to add to the budget of the game. They don't need the budget of a modern AAA game I wouldn't think. And I'm sure Paradox has plenty of money with how much DLC they always put out. I would think it would be weird to buy the license to WoD and then not make the game that everyone wants you to make.

Yeah but you have to remember by "everyone" you only mean a handful of core RPG fans, I wouldn't expect a new VtM to sell more than a few hundred thousand and that's why I wouldn't expect more than an isometric RPG. The best time for a VTM:B 2 to have been made was half a decade ago when vampires were a fad.
