Grinding for rank 20 blood gems is the most painful experience to ever appear in a Souls game.

If we're going by mandatory encounters though I'm hard pressed to find anything truly artificially difficult.

He's the easiest fucking enemy in the game if you don't panic and just look at him.
He never attacks on first step. Bait out his quickstep, he'll step a second time, then fire. I never even took a hit last time I fought him.
GOTY, and one of the best games of all time.

Any enemy with a hunter skeleton is easy, I'm more complaining about their stats in relation to where they're fought. Henryk is like 50 levels higher than you when you encounter, and many more for the Bloody Crow.
My point being that the only way they could make any of those encounters hard was by giving them the power to two shot you, while they can withstand 10 viscerals.
Dark Souls that's different enough to justify a new game. While there's less variety in armor and weapons, the game play and level design makes up for it. Although the start when I was trying to git gud was annoying, since I would use all my blood vials and then have to go "grind" for some more. Although, this became a nonissue pretty fast. The key was to stop sucking.

The trade off to that is that you have 20 bloodvials, which is the equivalent of 10 viscerals. The reason they're strong enough to two shot you instead of 1 shot you is because you're supposed to be using those vials.
It's more a safeguard against cheesing the enemy out of using vials than it is a balance issue.
And Henyk is 100% balanced. I ran through just last week to set up a new build for the old hunters and didn't die or reload once. I only had enough echos from one run through of Central Yharnam and beating Cleric beast, and I was still perfectly leveled and equipped to easily kill him without any worry.

I like that boss fights have more health to them compared to DS
Weapons are unique and feel good to use.

They have similar amount of health but much more aggresive and less predictable than DS bosses.
How's DLC? I think of getting one after I finish my first playtrough. Should I get it right now maybe to get more weapons and equipment?

I like the design and such. I just didn't like the fight itself. It doesn't play to my strengths I guess. I always have trouble on her compared to any other bossfight in the game. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Great game, but Dark Souls is better.

I've never owned a Nintendo console since the Nintendo 64. I do agree on your points though that Nintendo has fallen from it's high horse but I also stand by the point that Bloodborne is argued mainly between Sonyggers and PCfags.
