Fuck the final boss. It took me three months to beat.
Everything before the final boss, including the second to last boss, is beatable in a day and is incredibly fun.
Fuck the final boss. I got a shitty grade against him. I never want to do it again. But I beat this game.

One thing you should know is that it doesn't play like a Ninja Gaiden game or the typical DMC-styled hack-n-slash games. Levels are linear with the gameplay focusing more on killing a chain of enemies really fast (You sword will take away your life if you spend too much time dicking around). The difficulty of the game ranks up really fast, so I'm hope you're ready to get mad.

Still GOAT, tho.
One of my personal top gaming moments was finishing off that final boss. The pain was intense because you had to get through his stupid teleporting pre-battle phase before you could even attempt the difficult part, so retries took forever.

Dont go in expecting a game like the Xbox Ninja Gaiden games, its more arcadey if I were to describe it. its pretty fucking good you just to be able to go in and realize that. I'd say it does that aspect of the shinobi series justice however. nothing is more satisfying than getting one long ass chain and then one shotting the boss

The only reason people fine souls games hard is because it forces you to be cautious rather than allowing you to go leeroy without knowing the layout of the level first. that and DarkSouls had some shit collision detection, I died more in DaS1 from that than enemies actually posing a challenge or personal mistakes.
