I just want a sword user that's not clunky like every sword user in the game. A swordie that controls like Sheik or ZSS.

I think its pretty interesting how Nintendo did the whole Super Smash Bros. X Final Fantasy thing where as Ryu and the other third parties didn't have anything of that sort. Cloud also wasn't released on reveal as opposed to the others. I'm pretty sure there's a lot more SSBxFF news, but almost definitely not a second third-party SE character. I'm guessing there will be a lot more FF-themed stages, unlockables, and assist trophies.
Being an ultra casual, I like items turned on every once in a while, and I hope we get some awesome FF assist trophies. Really would like a retro FF character as an assist, like Terra/Tina. If they want to continue FF7 only, then Sephiroth could be a good assist.
I really don't see why people think the ballot winners will be announced here. Maybe one of them will be. This is the last Smash-themed direct, not the last direct to ever show Smash Bros. There's gonna be tons of directs in between now and E3 which will have smash-related news.
Anyway, I hope we get some more Nintendo characters, and not third parties. I'd really like Wonder Red, Inkling or Isaac.

Obviously Cloud, Ryu and Snake have pretty much ruined the image that Smash is solely about Nintendo, but I really like seeing Nintendo have to dig deep into their library and asspull forgotten characters, revitalizing their fame.

I dont mind the guest characters like Sonic or Mega Man, but adding in characters just because they are iconic isnt what should be happening. Nintendo needs to focus more on putting in older IPs regardless of how old or irrelevant they are.

Whatever they announce has no effect on me unless it's something so disgustingly huge I can't ignore it like Gatts or something.
I want a switch for stage bosses and for music to be longer than two minutes.

Part of me seriously thinks NIntendo wont allow Sakurai to just end the DLC like that, even if he himself backs off, I think they'll just end up making a devision specifically for Smash.
