Did Metal Gear Solid 1 effectively ruin Metal Gear as a franchise? I'm not sure I was a fan of the plot twist of Snake being a clone and having a brother. I certainly kinda like Ac!d's plot more even though it's gameplay is shit.

I'm just not very certain I enjoy the whole "turning Big Boss into a tragic figure" because while I may enjoy the improvement of gameplay, the prequels really muddle the Metal Gear timeline.
