Your appointment to FEMA should be finalized within the week. I've already discussed the matter with the senator.
I take it he was agreeable?
He didn't really have a choice.
Has he been infected?
Oh yes, most certainly.
When I mentioned we could put him on the priority list for the Ambrosia vaccine, he was so willing it was almost pathetic.
This plague, the rioting is intensifying to the point where we may not be able to contain it.
Why contain it?!
Let it spill over into the schools and churches.
Let the bodies pile up in the streets.
In the end, they'll beg us to save them.
I've recieved reports of armed attack on shipments. There's not enough vaccine to go around, and the underclasses are starting to get desperate.
Your turn.
Why is revision so shit?
Desperate

I'm more concerned about Savage.
post some RP build you triple niggers.
I read the Deus Ex Bible this morning. Really interesting shit. It's kind of amazing how deeply they went into detail about the state of the rest of the world, even parts you don't see. Plus all that cut content with the moon base and the Texas warzone.
Fuck. I almost want a remake of DX, with little to no gameplay tweaks, and all the planned content restored.
Also that concept art. I fucking love it.
>>319977072
It isn't. It's a nice change of pace from the norm if you've played DX to death like almost everyone has. The new level designs and building layouts are exciting and the game looks great all around. So long as you're disabling HD models and the new soundtrack, it's just as good as the original game.

NUMBER 2
>>319977854
I recommend saving as soon as you enter the final room and doing all three endings, just to watch them. Though Helios is the coolest.
Also you can stop Jock from dying, if you catch a traitorous soldier (at Savage's lab, I think).
>>319978047
A BOMB? :O
>>319977983
That's sorta poetic and badass
>>319977809
Pritchard > Alex tbqh
>>319977854
Yeah, Helios ending is probably best for everyone. Tong's ending is impractical and Everett's ending doesn't really change anything, just keeps power in the hands of those who've already abused and lost it.
Also you can circumvent Jock's death by incapacitating the sketchy mechanic wandering around by the chopper right before you leave. I did this on my first playthrough, simply through conjecture and knowledge of the A BOMB meme.
>>319977976
Yeah, I didn't expect they had that big of a hard on for Blade Runner but I should've known. Here's Sam Carter.
Ok, English is not my native language. I'm just curious about the
killphrase of Anna Navarre: "Flatlander woman". Is it some kind of humor?
There's a slang in my native language (whatever you wouldn't care) that
described women with not-so-big breasts as "airport", which means it's a
large piece of flat land for planes to land. Is this "Flatlander" here in
English the same as this "airport" in my native language?
>>319978301
I can't speak to the specific context in this case, but "flatlander" where I'm from refers to someone from the prairies, which implies that they are uncouth, uneducated farmers.
>>319978301
"Flatland" was the title of a book by a mathematician which attempted to describe existence in only two dimensions. A.K. Dewdney did an even more elaborate book titled "The Planiverse". It's a math fan's in-joke - nothing to do with Anna's figure.
The game is full of literary and science-geek references to things like that.

Based.
Anyone here play the Nameless mod for Deus Ex? Pretty much a complete expansion considering how much they managed to cram in there.
Realistically how much alcohol can I drink on vicodin? I know you're not supposed to have any but one beer won't kill me right? It's weak anyway only 10mg hydro. The tylenol content is the worst part about it.
s'kool
>>319979707
I fucking loved that mod. The music was good, especially during the space station level.

>>319977983
I used to think the exact same thing. Are you me?
I was kind of disappointing when I found it it wasn't that, to be honest
>>319979721
Anyone who tells you not to mix pills and liquor is scaremongering piece of shit. I take 2-4 mg of xanax and get shitfaced about five times a week.
So, realistically, drink as much as you want, because the only possible risk you run is falling into too deep of a sleep, vomiting, and choking on your own vomit. Which is really fucking unlikely.
Does it matter how violent I am in this game? I'm on the second mission now and sometimes I feel like playing non-lethal, and sometimes I feel like shooting terrorists in the head.
>>319980082
It's something I won't personally never do again. I nearly died on a combination of etizolam and alcohol when I accidentally blacked out and apparently decided taking a shitload of it was a genius idea
>>319980252
It changes how some characters talk to you, otherwise it's not so fussed. As it should be really. THE SHOW MUST GO ON.
But really it depends on WHO you kill rather than how many. ;)
>>319979885
Amen brother that was a great end level for the game. Storming the bridge was always a pretty kickass affair! >:D
>>319980252
For the first mision being too lethal will make people say you overdid it and some weapons will be withheld from you.
They sorta dropped the idea after that and killing soldiers in later missions doesn't affect the story.

>>319980082
I have to sleep on my back right now because of surgery but the amount I'm taking is so low that nothings going to happen. Literally one piss water beer I'm drinking now and I'll pop an equally weak vicodin when I go to sleep. If anything "intensifying effects" would be great because these 10s are not cutting it. Doctors are fucking jews when it comes to prescribing painkillers here in Florida because a bunch of rich kids in Naples couldn't figure out what moderation means. Because of them anyone under 30 gets shafted even when you actually need the strong shit.

Have you tried smoking weed? I know for me personally, dissociatives are the the gun and weed is the trigger. There are definitely some "intensifying effects" when the two are in conjunction.
Hell, you might not even need liquor with the dope.

It's quite amazing the way they approached the meta idea of cyberspace and still invoked the traditional Deus Ex feeling. TONs to explore too. I should reinstall.

Man I totally missed that, I mean I found the dead body and the sketchy guy but for some reason I didn't think to go back and talk with the guy
>>319981847
You don't even have to go back, you can knock him out/kill him right away
>>319982027
Oh, well it didn't really occur to me either. Actually I think that's the part where I just kinda dropped the game for like six months for some reason. Then when I started playing it again I didn't even remember that stuff
>>319981537
Tried it a few times. It was pretty good and I get the appeal but I still have a problem with the inhaling smoke/fire aspect. Vaporizers/dabbing solve that but fuck it. When it's inevitably legalized and I can buy it in a store maybe I'll do it more regularly but until then I'll stick to maybe once every few months schedule. Granted it would actually solve a lot of my problems but I'm already "borderline" alcoholic so I don't need another thing. I'm not actually an alcoholic it's just lightweight pussies say I am because they can't grasp the thought that someone might have built up a tolerance.
>>319982124

But you can't fool me
I still haven't played the first Deus Ex. Got issues with playing games in full screen but when I tried playing it in a window it was like the game in fast forward. Is there a fix for this? I tried googling for one but I'm one of those dumb "it just works" people so I didn't understand a single thing I found.
