Toby's sense of humor is okay at best. I never once burst out laughing at Undertale's writing while I have on many occasions in Shut up and Jam. Toby simply doesn't have the same sense of subtlety or wit that Chef Boyardee has.

i don't know about him specifically, but it's not totally uncommon among some artistic/creative people. basically it's the art transitioning to, and i'm serious here (although maybe a bit lenient with my diction), a meme. instead of reacting to the art, we're reacting to the memory of experiencing the art. i'm sure it's annoying as fuck too when you become popular enough that people just repeat it around or towards you endlessly.
