OP, I know driver stuff can be pretty hard to understand it took me quite a few programs before I managed to get my ps3 controller to work (I use SCP now) but you can get a decent controller built for PC use with drivers for 20-30 dollars. Even cheaper if you dont mind looking for them online. Hell, you could find a used xbox controller for 5-15 dollars.

It just werks, starts with windows and runs in the background. No nerd to run it everytime you want to use your pad like motionjoy.
Only games it doesn't work on, for me anyway is AC Unity and AC Syndicate. I have no idea why but it works fine with every other game.
