OP here. I thought it was fun for a bit. Definitely worth getting on a sale. Haven't played it in months though.
Another one that I thought was really fun to explore was Mortal Online - in a similar sense to Ark. World is filled with mystery and sense of danger. There is no in game map telling you where you are, no arrows pointing you in the right direction. Hell, no compass.

I played mgs 5 a few days ago, I think thats goty followed by gta v for the computer, fallout 4 then hotline miami 2
Black Flag was pretty comfy and enjoyable to sail around and explore islands and cities, especially with all the sea shanties
