Exodiafag here. It's actually better than ever now. It's so old no one brings a counter for it because no one knows Exodia exists, and if they do he's so old they're sure there's no possible way he's gonna show. Back when I used to play it when I was a kid, I learned that for an Exodia deck I apparently needed a good poker face. Even then if I was going through my deck too fast they'd usually catch on sooner or later.
Now I don't even have to worry because a lot of current gen players don't even know about Exodia, so they don't suspect anything when I'm blowing through my deck. I've had 4 games where the opponent demanded to see Exodia's head when I flashed my hand and said "I win."
