Sonic '06 is a game from a big company and yet incredibly cringe.
Well, furry games are niche as fuck and so having a good team behind such a game would be hard. So a lot of work would have to be done by a select few people, and most people aren't good at both programming AND doing art. So you end up with a lot of half-hearted shit. And then somehow, somewhere down the line there are geniuses out there and whole great teams such as CC2, the guys who made Solatorobo, or maybe just random doujin games and indie games.
