Yes. It hasn't aged very gracefully but it's pretty damn solid regardless. You'll want to mod it to allow modern resolutions though, unless that was finally patched in since I last played it.
Republic Commando has great pacing and fun writing and gameplay.

For me, KOTOR2 is the definitive Star Wars game. KOTOR1 is pretty damn solid for a straight up, classic Star Wars experience, but 2 was subversive and much more well written. Battlefront 2 is a close contender, and Republic Commando is also pretty damn fine.
