I always just laugh because Dark Souls is piss babby easy combat. It plays like Monster Hunter with free evasion +3, which is practically holding your hand.

Because they are casuals in denial and Dark Souls was the first game they played that didnt hold their hand. It also gives them a sense of elitism because the average COD player wouldnt bother playing it for more than 5 minutes. Dark Souls is a decent game but its become a symbol of a hard game for people who have never played a hard game before.
