We all played it via CFW, you daft cunt.

It's okay, but I'd rank it worst M&L game. It's probably the most boring and tedious RPG I've ever played, but the boss fights, aesthetic, ost, and koopalings save it from being shit.

Also, paper Bowser is so much better than M&L Bowser

Pros:

>amazing bosses
>good dialogue
>no stylo and gyro shit
>almost no tutorials
Cons:
>feels more like a minigames compilation than an RPG
>backtracking is off the charts
>papercraft battles are meh
>no original characters or locations, shitloads of Toads fucking everywhere
>story is basic even by M&L standards
>music is just okay
Overall a 6/10 game. Probably the waekest in the series.

Sticker Star's designs were great especially given the 3DS is only 240p resolution. You're just too afraid to admit it was the best at some things.

Oh please. It clearly has some care and effort put into it, but compare it to any other M&L game and it's much more sterile and uncreative. It's uninspired and that fact is really apparent the whole way through.

Paper Jam is incredibly well designed though, the areas are briskly designed and fun to go through and avoids most of the pitfalls and slow down the previous entries did by putting most of the mini-games at the Lakitu Houses.

A number of areas in the previous games looked interesting but were dull as all hell and full of filler.

Probably Alphadream had to deal with a lot of restrictions from Nintendo bacause of the nature of the game.

Nope, n64 had the best artistic choices by far. It was made to look like a story book given life, TTYD was made to look like a pop-up book given life, Sticker Star was made to look like a standard Mario title made from paper cutouts. You can prefer the third option if you want but I prefer the first two. Plus N64 just has the best character designs, especially where Mario, Peach, goombas, and koopas are concerned

Actually some areas in PJ are poorly designed. Just think about how huge and empty is the desert.
And the lack of the 10 Bro blocks to collect doesn't encourage you to explore.

In terms of gameplay, sure. I don't mind the story and areas either. It's the first time you don't go around collecting x number of y trinket at any point, which is a plus. Sure, there are Paper Toads, but those are five-minute (if that) minigames here and there. The field moves are also great, running and underground dashing (and collecting beans while underground without having to resurface) should definitely become staples. It also has a whole bunch of town instead of just one or two.

Next time they just need to make areas more unique and create some original NPCs. The focus on main series enemies and environments is okay for one game but not for multiple ones.

Well yeah, Wakeport kicks the crap out of every Paper Jam town combined, no questions asked. I'm sure they could find a balance though. The first two Paper Mario games had somewhat okay smaller towns in addition to the main hub, not that this is the same series.
