it's not an improvement. the original had a great balance of color and lines. the white and pink kept the black from looking too edgy, and the pale skin surrounding the dark panties created a contrast that drew your eyes to her hips. now in the censored version there's too much black, and her entire bottom half is a single block of color.
if you think the censored version looks better you probably should have your mom still picking out your clothes.

I am almost positive it has to do with avex and their marketing of their music. The ability to play her music video on loop in stores, and have posters of Kiria in her stage outfit on streets where the rules are strict.
Considering how other daring costumes still appears to be in the game, I am getting the impression that Kiria was just singled out personally since she is a prolific character in the marketing and a front and centre poster character for the music.
That's my guess at the very least.

Alright, so, I'm not big on Fire Emblem, ALTHOUGH I do enjoy the series. I've never beaten a single one of them despite putting time into PoR, Sacred Stones, and Awakening, so I know what that's about.
I've never played an SMT game or Persona, although I've always wanted to play one of those games. This is looking pretty much more like 'Fire Emblem x Persona'. I'm not too keen on the insistence on using idols and shit though.
What's the battle system like?
