I've played through New Vegas a few times, but I've never done the DLC.
Making a fresh install. What mods should I get? Apart from the obvious like unofficial patches and textures (NMC's pack unless other recommended). Also, how much does Project Nevada change the game, and if I use it how should I tweak it?

I chose the sharecropper farms, because it is what's best for Vegas.
Whether the NCR, Caesar, House wins or it goes Independent, pure clean water for plantations come in handy either way.

If you're not affiliated with the Legion, keep farming for their gear. Make your Repair high enough, fix their weapons and armor, and watch as you drain all the merchants of their caps. Pump up Barter and Repair, if you're that worried about it.
Max your Luck, go to a Blackjack table and keep playing.
Also, there are these things called "quests".
Keep playing and you'll easily reach 100,000.

Okay, so how do you guys do your replays? All main quest? Main quest, and then whatever side-quests are in whatever towns the main quest brings you to - before moving on with the main quest - sort of like in Fallout 1/2? Up to the battle of Hoover Dam, then a checklist or something of sidequests?

I made a new profile and tried sorting out suspect mods that break my other mods, so I figured I'd go with some basic foundations first yet I ended up getting black screen.

As you can see it's mostly just plugins that help organize and setup for other mods, almost like frameworks. Yet I can't even run this.
Yet here's the real kicker, my other profile has all these mods and up to 84 fucking mods total running at the same time, and it runs. So far it breaks one mod (well more like it breaks the quest of a mod if done in a certain way which is what I'm trying to nail down).
I don't use LOOT anymore on my big profile that runs cause I'm scared of breaking it, but I know running LOOT on the new profile which I listed in this post does jack shit. Hell at one point I only had YUP and MCM in my plugins and it still got stuck in black.
