Sigma Star Saga spiritual sequel when?
what is this?
WF's initial plan for KS was to use it to make SSS2 for the 3DS, but couldn't due to vague legal reasons. Why they didn't make a spiritual successor, who knows, but given the current climate surrounding them (MN9, Armikrog, recent Bloodstained screens), it's probably in their best interest not to.

tl;dr SSS began development as a sequel to another, completely different game. Midway through development, Namco told them to rework it as an original IP. Due to the vague connections to the other game, Bamco owns the rights to the game and won't relinquish them because fuck you.
