You can now replay one game for the first time again.

I don't know, I haven't played this game, I'm about to play it for the first time.VV a best
>>319656784
Awesome game
>>319654919
Probably that. Most games that blew me away at the time have now been surpassed, so even if my memory of it was taken away it wouldn't have as much of an impact. Not the case with that one.
>>319654919
brutal legend
Tetris

>>319654919
That game, I just recently played it for the first time and holy shit it was amazing. Te atmosphere, music, and exploring was god tier.
REmake
world of warcraft but only if I can go back to 2005-2009
>>319654919
A while ago I would have said Morrowind, but I think it wouldn't have the same impact playing it now. So yeah, maybe VtmB or maybe Dark Souls.
Dark Souls
>>319654919
All my fave games have great replayabilty and dont depend on a story much (or at all).
Maybe Fallout 1/2.
>>319658046
Probably this or 999.
Half life 1

Toy commander for the Sega dreamcast
>>319659156
no, it fucking wasn't. it's unfinished and bug ridden and the endgame is shit
too fucking bad, fucking activision ruining it for everybody, I'm still mad for forcing the devs to rush it like that
>>319659351
its perfect with the patches
>>319660141
I have the Steam version(it was on sale for like $5 or something, I also have the original on disc somewhere at my mums place but buried under a pile of old discs and hard drives) how do you patch it? Doesn't Steam usually "fix" broken installs? Because it is really annoying playing it with the shitty blurry HUD textures and the game is still buggy. I know that there are community patches but all their installation guides are five years old and Steam won't let you choose not to update/regulate games anymore for some fucked up reason.
>>319661464
get wesps unofficial patch and that's it
Mass Effect 1

Bully
Saw the image and thought it was going to be a VTMB thread. I'm disappointed.
>>319654919
Why is VTM Bloodlines worth the playthrough? Serious question, there use to be threads everywhere about this game. I might grab it.
>>319662186
It has a brilliant atmosphere and some of the best writing around. There's really not another game like it.
Due to the different clans (that can actually be very different to each other) and the different play-styles there's a lot of reason to go back and replay it.
>>319662186
Good story, shonky gameplay(when I played it the first time the mouse would freeze whenever I shot a gun and the shot was delayed by some kind of absurd single player version of Lag, so I'd have to actually plan out every bullet before firing based on where my enemies would be not where they were, took some time to get used to), lots of variety in how you play it, good RPG elements(as in actual role playing not just fighting), top tier voice acting and at the time the Source Engines Vocal animation process was really impressive and looked realistic as fuck back then, and great atmosphere and setting.
Plus it had something about it that was sadly tragic because the company was already broken before the game was published(didn't they have to delay it until Half-Life 2 was released or something) so playing it you knew it was the last game that would ever be like it was.
>>319662186
best amtosphere immersion soundtrack writing characters
>>319662186
Great character writing. I can't think of a single forgettable character in the game, and not because they're unintentionally obnoxious or anything - they're just all really memorable people. This extends to just about anyone with dialogue, too, from the vendors to random NPCs.
>>319662186
>>319662472
>>319662598
>>319663179
exactly, the atmosphere, characters and actual roleplaying were incredible. Too bad the actual fighting sucks hard, the only reason i only did one complete playthrough, but will be back playing the game in a few years for sure, when i forgot some things again.
>>319663413
I still remember that weird Australian vampire surfer, so many great minor characters.
I loved it as much as /v/ shit on it.
I was in all the hype threads. Great OC and theory crafting. 10/10 soundtrack. Loved how they changed up a bit how you played.

Tale of two wastelands
>>319665279
The whole 90's gothicpunk aesthetic of every old world of darkness setting is so cringe worthy, it doesn't need terrible 90's darkwave/goth music to make it even worse.
>>319654919
Easily Morrowind. I've sunk about 2000 hours into that motherfucker. There's not a square foot of Vvardenfell I've not explored. Playing that again would be great.
Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl.
Holy shit if i just could.
>>319666696
That's what makes it so fun. It goes hard into the gothpunk and doesn't apologize for it. It's like Fallout with the 50's America aesthetic and music. It just makes it more endearing and immersive in my opinion.
vanilla wow
Persona 4
>>319667179
>It goes hard into the gothpunk and doesn't apologize for it
You have no idea.
>>319654919
Dark Souls, thats one of these games with great atmosphere and I felt the great immersion. Implying that wasnt hard game, but it was exciting as fuck.

Good solid game that takes a nosedive in the last act.

same as you OP. mainly because that would easily be another 4 or so playthroughs

Assassin's Creed. Any game but wipe the whole series from my mind.

Not me. Can't find a working copy.
>>319654919
Hi.
I was always intrigued by this as a kid - whats so special about it? I never played it as our household never had a proper PC. Also, should I play it?
21 here.
>>319657981
Xenoblade X right?
>>319673126
Stylish, atmospheric, a cast full of extremely likable characters, great diablogue, all centred on an IP with a metric fuckton of lore.
>>319673224
No, vampire the masquerade senpai.
It's a toss-up between Rayman 2 and Sonic Adventure. Rayman 2 is simply a beautiful game, but playing through Sonic Adventure when I was a babby is easily the fondest video game memory I have. I've heard it's not great without rose-tinted goggles, but I think the controls and music are excellent, and the level design is pretty okay.
I'll go with Sonic Adventure if I can retain my fond memories surrounding it and have them come rushing back to me when I replay certain parts, and hearing certain songs like this one. youtube.com/watch?v=jPbtnGU30fE
However, if that means my childhood memories of the game leave me forever, then I pick Rayman 2.
>>319674487
are you me senpai? I use to play SA/SA2/rayman 2 when I was a kid. Sonic adventure is one of the most nostalgic games to play.
>>319674797
Yes, the holy trinity of nostalgic Dreamcast platformers. The fates that have befallen both of those series keep me up at night.
>Rayman 4 cancelled for Rabbids minigames
>there will probably never be another dark, atmospheric 3D Rayman platformer again
I just want the 3D platformer genre to rise like a Phoenix from its ashes
>>319656345
I love how everyone on /v/ pretends to love NV now that Fallout 4 has come out, when back in the day everyone here HATED it.
It's hilarious!
In answer to the question, OP. Either VTM:B or Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
>>319654919
Red Dead Redemption.

>>319676728
Can't agree with that. Alter Code F was fantastic, but I loved how fucking weird 3 got toward the end.
>>319654919
Blade Runner
Probably the Phoenix Wright trilogy.
WoW. I miss being amazed at every little thing, being so starry eyed

The entire Phoenix Wright series.

VtMB 2
>>319676131

Dragon's Dogma. The perfect difficulty up until you get overleveled. Xenoblade X is probably going to be a strong contender when I finish it too
Banjo-Kazooie
>>319678326
Alternatively, this.
if I became younger again, then probably WoW
if I not, then probably Oblivion or Sleeping Dogs
Undertale
>>319654919

Pokemon Blue.
