Well for one that means new people hired. The old people at Bethesda clearly are shit at making games despite their previous great games so maybe there's hope for the other studio.
My dream would be them assigning Fallout 5 to the new studio, away from Todd, from the current writer and team.

Yeah, it's your dream because it will never become reality. They won't give their known IPs to some new people, especially not away from Todd. At best we might get a few completely new low budget games and that would be even good since the low budget would mean they don't have to "widen the audience" anymore and make a proper RPG.
There is a chance something good happen, but there is also a chance that a meteorite kills you right now so yeah.

it's not so much the quality as is the genre. for an rpg, fallout 4 is not particularity satisfactory, but it's not an rpg nor is it meant to be. bethesda likes making completely open action adventure games in which you can go anywhere or do any quest in basically any order. think of it more like borderlands or far cry but with a quick dialogue wheel. if you watch any "making of" documentaries, todd will repeatedly say phrases like "you are who you play" and "the player should be able to go anywhere whenever he wants". it's this game design philosophy that leads them to streamline their games such that the player is never "punished" for decisions and systems are dumbed down to where you cant just do whatever you want and everything will always work out.

As much as I'd love Fallout Online I honestly don't know how it could work. Especially with the way these AAA companies just use the WoW template and then add their own spins to it. A Fallout MMO would have to either be turn-based or a 3rd person shooter. There's no way it could be a hotbar combat MMO.
