For the love of god DON'T nerf the R8. I've never had so much fun with the game untill now.
We played 5 full premade matches. We decided to use JUST R8. No other weapons allowed. Just R8, nades and kevlar every round. We won 3, lost one(14-16) and got a tie.
It was fun. Like fucking fun. Seriously. Go try it.
You don't have to worry about ecoing after the first round. Every shot feels good when you get a kill. It's just pure awesomeness.
Only people who are complaining about it are who just suck. We got called, noobs, losers, got death threats and general saltyness even though they were losing.
Please don't nerf the gun. There is literalyl nothing stopping you from playing the old and "normal" way. This is just more options for those who like the gun.

I'm a noob, I'm usually at one of the lowest positions in any game, be it deathmatch, casual, or comp.
With this gun I'm almost on par with everyone else, doesn't matter if they're 10 times better player than me, it will happen that i have more kills and less deaths than them quite a bunch of times.
Still i think this gun is broken as fuck and ruins the game...sure it's fun, for 5 or 10 minutes maybe, then it becomes annoying because it ruins every other aspect of the game.
Almost every other gun is useless against it, a small dose of precision in your mouse movement and you can 1 shot kill a sniper on the other side of the map while he hasn't even realized you were in his range.
On close range is even worse, as even aiming at legs results in a 1 shot kill.
Like i said, fun for 5 minutes.

Yes there is, because all it takes is 2 or 3 guys deciding to use it anyway to own the entire other team and ruin a "normal way" match, and you can't stop them(inb4 kick them, others doing the same will always be there)

As a deagle user I found the left click on R8 slightly overpowered in long range engagement. With deagle, you're basically fucked if you missed your first shot as it takes more than 2 seconds for your aim to recover. With R8 I could just spam left click without concerning spread because a bodyshot is just as lethal.
The problem is not the game dealt 98 damage per shot. But it bested a lot of guns in most situations. R8 is obviously superior compare to scout, and somewhat on-par against AWP, with a 3900 dollars of differences between the price tags.
Before that you need to eco for 2 rounds before you got a 1-shot weapon. Now you dont.
