Want to buy a large TV to play STALKER on it.
Anyone play PC games on TV? If yes - what screen is too big?
Don't, TVs have low refresh rates and a lot of input lag. They are not designed for gaming.

this
tv's are garbage as gaming screens

So my best bet would be multiple monitors?
>>319552829
Personally I have never played on a 3 monitor setup so I cannot tell you.

Welp, then I shall stick to 24" monitor for now. Just thought it would be fun to play on a larger screen. Game is atmospheric enough to look good on a large screen.
Also, for the fear of sounding retarded, aren't console players use TV as their monitors?

Please ignore these fucking idiots
Rtings for TV will show you a lot of tv's are perfectly fine for vidya.
You may be stuck to 60hz but a response time under 30ms is easy to come by

Yeah, sure you can find decent enough TVs for gaming but why would you when you can just get a much better monitor? Makes no sense.

Well I have both, a 34" 21:9 for my pc and a 50 inch sony. Depends on what I'm playing. Played gtav on the TV with a controller from the couch.
>input lag mattering in a game like stalker
I play on a vizio tv, 28 inch, I dont even notice any lag.
>tv
Save money and buy Rift or Vive. Soon you don't even need a monitor

i play on a 55 inch 3d 4k lg tv
i like it, i want to do a 3 tv setup

So is that a YES or NO for a TV to play STALKER?
>>319551820
Yeah I use a 55'' LED TV. Shit is pretty awesome, but at that point you are basically playing with a console that can do 60fps. The best way to play with a PC is with a monitor so you can take advantage of 4k and multiple screens.
But playing PC games on TV is pretty easy and really cool.

Can you get a 55'' monitor?
Anyone got those PHILIPS ambilight TVs? How is the light for video games?
>>319551820
55' Sammy here, use it along with a TN + IPS panel
Don't listen to the retards who haven't used a TV for gaming since 2004. Nearly every single TV now has a gaming mode which kills all the post-processing a TV does for barely any sacrifice in imagine quality, making the difference in response time between my monitors / TV minimal
However if you're looking one, I'd recommend focusing on Sony ones - just go and check out the difference in response times, it's huge and clearly their focus

Because the image clarity of a TV absolutely blow monitors out of the fucking water. If a game is 'better' played with a controller I will always play it on my TV
Gaming on a matchbox-sized monitor is so 15 years ago, anon-kun.
OP here, so what I am looking for in a TV? Refresh rate and screen size?
Would this work?
