I think it's totally possible. Look at how they acted at E3. This is the first time they've ever pulled the "we want this presentation to be about stuff we're releasing this year" card. We've got a massive drought coming that will last until April with Star Fox, and you just know that they pushed that back on purpose to fill in that hole. We don't know of any games other than Zelda which are going to be coming out in the years following that, and they've been quiet as fuck about Zelda.
I'm not saying that all signs point to a 2016 release, but if we were having a 2016 release, this is the sort of thing I'd expect to be seeing.
