It belongs in the same category as Undertale; weak casual shit that idiots who think they're smart circlejerk over with fellow idiots.

The vigors were a huge letdown, still enjoyed the game.
7.5/10
>>
I liked Bio shock 1.
2 was okay, but Infinite fucking sucked

Hope you got some time anon.

Also, anyone remember that time when /v/ made the logo and game cover better?

barely, was it the bald eagle edit?
post it if you got it

It's a better game than first two Bioshocks, but thats not saying much, it's still shit that has pacing issues and gameplay is very very lacking in almost every way, also picking up shit is annoying as fuck and should be automatic since there is no inventory you have to manage and you can't pick up too much shit. It's they never even tried to thought out various gameplay nuances, why we need this shit or that? how to make this more enjoyable? why we doing this since we don't use it? eeeeeeeeh fuck it don't care let's make that 200 000 000 dollar game happen guys.

>It's a better game than first two Bioshocks
stopped reading there
>>
They put in all the NPCs hanging around weapon vending machines. I was disappointed they wouldn't start running up to them and getting guns when I started firing in a crowd.
>>
>>319495720

Yeah, the vote for the alt cover where they had better options than the main cover. SHit had like cross hatching logos and stuff.

I unfortunately don't on this rig, but I can try to find it on my Macbook.
>>
>>319496189
would be appreciated anon
>>
It's ok confusing on pc controls. If you don't give a single fucking shit about the bioshock story, you don't have much to complain about in regards to the game being shit. I never have gave a shit, so im not effected like the majority of fat faglord sweaty manchildren that get upset about it.

Eh, i liked it, worse than the first bioshocks objectively but i enjoyed infinite more just because of the gameplay and new stuff.
Liz best waifu too.
>>
>>319497118
Still stand by don't play the others and you won't know it's shit :^)
>>
Had some good meta-moments pertaining to the strains of sequel production and game design in general (another girl, another lighthouse). Obviously, by design it is a linear story heavy shooter so replayability and deep gameplay mechanics are MIA. As a fan of metafiction, irrational games and first Bioshock--it is worth seeing but not the revolution the first title was.
>>
>>319497118
wait, bioshock games always have low ammo
>>
>>319497319
The thing is it's not good on it's own either, the guns were so shitty.
>>
Decent game.

Bad bioshock game.

I really have no idea why they called it Bioshock.

It would have gotten better reception if they called it Aeroshock or something.

It's not a bioshock game AT ALL.
>>
>>319497838
yeah but

Great game, definitely different from previous Bioshocks.

I absolutely loved Burial at Sea Ep. 2, it touched me in places I didn't know I could feel.

It was pretty bad.
>>
>>319495058

Boring, bland game with a nifty gimmick (The skylines).

Boring gunplay, lackluster abilities and upgrades, boring story, repetitive bosses(Comstock's ghost wife THREE boss fights almost in a row)

It's a generic, poor game and it's understandable why the dev team was broke up after this mess.

Babby's first multi-dimensional story.
>>
Good for waifu porn and Cosplay boners. As a shooter it was below average. Plot made no sense.

I enjoyed it. Certainly not 10/10 GOAT but at least a solid 7.

Wait a minute...
>>
>>319495058
I liked it, but I also didn't really like the previous BS games.

I understand why people liked the first ones, and honestly it's pretty bullshit what they did to Infinite and sucks for most of the fans of the series (except for the diehards in denial that Infinite was of the same caliber), but as a game on it's own I had fun with it.
>>
>>319495058
i felt so stupid for paying $60 for it.
>>
It's a rather boring "RPG shooter", honestly it probably would have faired better if it wasn't hitched to the Bioshock name. A fairly forgettable story with a shit M. Night Shamamloadingdong "twist" ending.
>>
>>319498758
That card.

To this day, I've never been able to solve that puzzle.
>>
I love it. It being so terrible took away the "MUH LEVINE DIDN'T MAKE IT" bias from Bioshock 2, so now people realize that 2 was actually the best one.
>>
>>319495058

Bioshock Infinite is a 2K game, anon.
>>
>>319499798
Shit, well I better go give them my money then. Brb
>>
>>319495058

At least it didn't use Bethesda's engine.
>>
I think it gets way too much shit. It is still one of my favorite games.

>Gameplay
Tough, because it improves a lot of things from Bioshock 2 but is also worse in many ways. Overall 2 has the superior gameplay.

>Story
/v/ will attack me for this but Infinite has my favorite plot/story of the three even though it gets pretty fucky. That ending is just too good. Bioshock 1's story is more profound because it has one of the greatest twists in any piece of media ever, but after the twist the ending is a total letdown. Fontaine is a shit villain compared to Comstock. Bioshock 2 has a good story but I find it inferior to the other two.

>Graphics
Obviously the best. It's also nice to actually be able to see/talk to characters, since the style for Bioshock characters is actually pretty great. Burial At Sea was fucking sweet since we got to see Rapture and its characters with those detailed models.
>>
>was free on xbl
>downloaded it
>enjoyed it at first
>got real fucking repetitive
>half the objectives in the game were deemed meaningless by the constant warps or rips in spacetime or whatever
>unsatisfying ending

It was free and I enjoyed it the most I could. I wouldn't have had buyers remorse if I had bought it.
>>
>yfw you were playing as this goofy looking fuck in Bioshock 1

No wonder everybody wanted to wreck his shit. What a dork.
>>
One of my normie friends says this is the best game ever. At his recommendation, I decided to try it out am playing Bioshock 1 now. Pretty decent, except enemies respawn indefinitely and Big Daddies are sponges on hard.
>>
>>319500632

>That ending is just too good

No it isn't, it's one of the most egregious Deus Ex Machina in recent gaming history.

I'd even give it some points for TRYING to make something interesting with the class fights and vox populi and shit. But the dimensional shenanigans fucked any pacing the story had.

The ending felt rushed and a way to quickly round-up the stupid story. Maybe fun for the rapture fan-service.

Fontaine is MILES better as a villian than comstock, that was just plain crazy at the end of the day while Fontaine's motives were pretty clear. He was a greedy motherfucker and used all his cunning to swindle Ryan from his empire.

Comstock was 'cleansed", decided he needed to make amends, finds Lutece at some point and the FLYING CITY WITH THE HELP OF THE GOVERNMENT!.

It's a fucking weak game with a shoestring story.
>>
>>319501126

No, you were playing as 2 disembodied arms througout the whole first games, since they were too lazy to actually make a proper model for you.

>>
>>319495058
It was ok until you start dimension hopping and the whole game goes to hell.
1 and 2 are much better.
>>
>>319501896

First game*
>>
>>319501751
I don't think you know what Deus Ex Machina means.

Personally, my favorite part of the ending is
when Anna gets pulled through the tear and loses her finger
. Some pretty feely feels.
>>
>>319501896
>hands that close to the floor
I never really consider the perspective tricks these games pull to make things seem the right size.

Metroid Prime has, once looked at on a chart, almost every intelligent race bigger than Samus by several feet, presumably to accommodate the necessity of where the camera is at given her body is fully rendered in game.
>>
>>319495058
It was ok, not as good as the first two games for sure. The whole time rift thing beyond some interesting game play/ small story bits was lame imo. And I still don't think the ending made much sense considering how Booker's character is like throughout the game.

Also the lack of exploration beyond those hidden caches was limited and lacking, more linear. I'd give it a 6/10 overall.

Better plot than the first game, and better Gameplay. Also it's fun where as Bioshock was flatout bland for large portions. I'd say it's the best game in the series.

However, if i'm going to criticize the game, I will say despite having far more character interaction than Bioshock, the characters themselves felt boring too me. There is no 'Andrew Ryan' level personality here. And i'm not an overly-emotional faggot so I didn't get all choked up over Booker's relationship with Elizabeth.(even after the big reveal)
I also am not sexually frustrated so where as most losers were drooling over their liz waifu, I just thought she was underwhelming.

It's also worth noting that in terms of World-building, Columbia (while more beautiful) wasn't as well written or as immersive as Rapture.
>>
>>319503258
>Better plot than the first game
The plot of the first game has gotten overhyped through the years, but come on anon.

I suppose everyone has there opinion, but the plot in Infinite was a mess.
>>
>>319503513
I thought it tied together well at the end, simple as that.
>>
>establishes themes in the first 2 hours that are forgotten half an hour later (which they copied from 2 anyways)
>immortal npc that gives you so much ammo, money, salt, etc. the game almost plays itself
>maps are hallways connecting to hallways
>game is set high in the sky but keeps you locked indoors and squanders the potential of the skyhook system
>complete waste of good art assets
>dumbed down tonics to shitty gear system
>all the upgrades just turn plasmids into grenade traps
>all the gun upgrades are generic trash
>>
>>319501126
He doesn't look like he has any relation with Andrew Ryan at all, very weird.

Decent FPS with try-hard story.

Mediocre and it had one of the most wasted settings ever. Shit was too linear to ever appreciate it and the time travel story ended up making the setting somewhat pointless and overshadowed it. I would have liked to actually have been able to explore columbia more with a lot more audio logs and no stupid time travel bullshit.
