I dont know about tons of stuff to do yet.. I got to play some of their versions of a dungeon and darkzone pvp.
There are tons of side quests everywhere if you just explore the map.. which is huge and the pvp is interesting.
Most of the game is squad focused up to 4 people and it encourages a ton of co op gameplay using real tactics. (Its possible to outskill in pvp, but good luck vs a real squad of players)
Its an mmo, so we will see. I was impressed by the amount of RPG mechanics inside the stats, armor and skills. A lot of games lately have been dumbing games down but this one has 2-3 pages of pure stats.
Didnt see the endgame, but they made it seem like the squad based pvp is the focus.. and the darkzone showcase youtube videos are actually pretty spot on for how it feels. If you dont communicate tactics or what you see, you die fast. Its not a run and gun, its an rpg that requires you to aim. The opposite of destiny.

Customization was pretty indepth for an rpg.. in a world where all the games seem to be dumbing down mechanics. There are skills, talent trees and perks.. all have their separate tab and customizable independatly of each other.
You can hold 2 primay weapons and a secondary. Each weapon can be customized akin fallout 4 with item drops you find.
There is armor with rpg like stats and bonuses.. some look like the lists from diablo 2 items with how ridiculous they get.
There is also clothing which is only cosmetic. Probably for selling ingame cosmetics down the road.
I didnt notice too many interiors except for the dungeons and bases which have no load times to enter, but they are there own instances. There are a bunch in the pvp areas if you count underground tunnels and subways as interior. Theres a ton of alley ways in the city.
You can run wherever you want in the city, but some areas had a lot higher level enemies then me.. luckily youcan outskill them to a certain point because its an rpg that relies on cover and aim along with your stats.
Actual map is huge. I put in 8+ hours total and only explored maybe 5% of the map. With how big darkzones are and how teambased this game is, I can see bigger clans controlling some of the areas for the best weapon spots and tons of random people fighting for it. Thats what happened when i was playing anyway.
It wasnt uncommon to have my squad fight alongside other players with the same goals like the youtube vidrod suggest.
