Can't get excited for XV because of how gay the party looks.
Cautious excitement for VII, I love the redesigns of everything they have showed so far. The possibility of customization for armor/weapons makes my dick diamonds, but that retarded flashy real time combat is a major turn off.

FFXV's combat looks weak as fuck. It's just flimsy flailing that really doesn't look like it has any weight behind it. I know it's suppose to be a hybrid of an action/rpg but it could at least make the combat look/sound/feel good.

Noctis will have all the weapon types used by the entire fucking cast of FF7, and he has real time weapon swapping. That combined with weapons having abilities, magic, and summons it just seems like a more solid combat system

I felt like it was good enough for an old build, and they even felt the need to update it with things like dodge roll, new attack animations and ways to add variations to attacks by using the analog stick. When the magic system and real time weapon swapping is added to this its going to be really fast paced.
I think they need to lower the start up on the abilities of weapons though, especially for a few of them.

A huge problem I have with Armiger in 2.0 is that you can't see jack shit what's happening because animations are completely random, play out twice as fast and the screen is covered in shittons of particles while the camera zooms out and everything looks small.
I prefer TGS' Armiger so fucking much along with those combo attacks.

Like just today one of the devs said that cross links in the full game don't work anything like they do in the demo and they were completely overhauled, and that in addition to cross link you have other co op moves like slash like which was that X slash we saw Noctis and Ignis do and some other as of yet unrevealed co op moves.
Even combos and how weapons are in the demo isn't how it will work in the full game

Both are highly unappealing. In terms of the direction the franchise is taking it doesn't matter to me that much, since it seems to choose a direction randomly and then bullheadedly force it. So it will be what it will and therefore I feel no investment that gives rise to an emotion. It's so arbitrary. But FF will endure, I'm sure. Maybe someday it will swing by me again.
When's XVI? Please let it be Ito. At least I can respect him even when he happens to really miss the mark for me (Junction, Gambit). Hell let it be fucking Toriyama. He drives me to a blinding fury with his games, so I always finish them easily. Him being announced would excite me about the future.
