This is actually wrong, for the most part. The smaller maps incorporate some assets and rooms from the bigger maps but they do have different layouts.
That being said, who gives a shit? The main mode is Supremacy/ Walker Assault and they share the same 5 maps, with Jakku. They're what 90% of servers are going to be hosting and you'll get bored of them in a week.

Its hard to tell. As other anons said, one is the sales vs sale expectations flop which, until we have official numbers, we dont know if it did flop that way. In a way it wont flop in sales because its star wars and will sale a lot, but maybe not enough for EA to consider it a success.
It did flop in gamplay design and it will most probably have a life shorter than BF 2 has had because of how shallow it is, but since the game is aimed for the casuals and nostalgia fags EA wont consider it a flop because the lack of depth and skill is intended.

pretty much the only thing matters, from the AAA standpoint, is graphics and branding/marketing, and battlefront has both in spades.

Not sure. Its a great looking game with no longevity that EA hopes to fill with a $50 patch.
Consumers buy into this shit, not realizing its barebones and think its OK.
