Moi dix Mois is a lot less experimental than Mizer, Mana wanted to show everyone how he was a huge Slayer fanboy so he went full metal with lots of his trademark harpsichords and organ synths shoved in.
It's not bad though, but it is sort of monotonous after a while and you can see a lot of his songs sound the same with only a few chord variations. His lyrics are also really goofy "OMG I'M SO DARKNESS" stuff.
I personally enjoyed Kozi's solo works more, his music sounds more like the other half of Malice Mizer and is way more diverse and creative.

There was still more creativity back then though, yeah. In the 00s and especially the 10s VK got really stale and as a whole it changed a lot.

/jp/ is more like idol only. sometimes they talk about some 80s/90s jpop, but for the most part they discuss current idol.
/mu/ sometimes talk about japanese music, but mostly stuff like noise, or math rock, they don't like VK either.
/v/ is the only board where I've seen somewhat decent VK discussion and nostalgia.
I've seen /vr/ discuss VK once too, but that was a rare one time only thing since they're strict about not going offtopic.
