Not that guy but I agree. Fucking consoles. The strip was a little segmented piece of shit because of consoles. It ran just fine on my PC with the mod to remove the walls. People who play on toasters may as well be on consoles.

This is pretty much it. Easier to fix something you think is wrong when you already have a concrete basis to start from and if you're doing it all on your own time at your own pace. I won't make any excuses for a studio's art team but given that they have to design a variety of items with a consistent style without it being to samey all while under heavy deadlines can definitely cause them to just take what works.

I happen to do game development. Time is money and money is time.
Most company's don't have much money, Most artist don't have much money. It's also very hard as most modders don't really have any experience in game development and will often use bad practices and this reflects on your game because they are part of your company now.
The other thing is most companys want to put all their efford into the next game as that's where they will earn more cash from.
Company's that don't, go broke.
