The only difference between the 2 (2 3rd party multiplat boxes) is that Sony has Japanese 3rd party Support and MS doesn't. So that clears out why they would pick Sony over MS but why choose to Ignore Nintendo over Ignoring MS? The only reason is that the difference between this 2 is accepted by Sony fans in some degree and the only difference between those 2 boxes is that Nintendo consoles has Nintendo games while Xbox has MS games (and 3rd party support but not important since Sony already has it).
So the true comes out, the reality is that most Sony supporters are more likely to enjoy Japanese 3rd party games and see MS as redundant and value Nintendo existence though they will choose to ignore them over killing them while for MS is not the case.

The difference is the support. Sony and MS has the same support from the west (Which is important i this case as a NIntendo supporter because NIntendo doesn't have any support from the west) Sony has Japanese support that will never go to Xbox. So it is clear that choosing MS over Sony has nothing to do with games at all. (also anyone thinking that Japanese games will ever return to Nintendo even if Sony stop existing are retarded, Japan barely supported the Wii even when it was the only viable console in Japan, they all hold their ground and waited for the PS3 to build momentum, just like is happening now with the PS4 and Wii U in Japan) So choosing Ignoring MS and Killing Sony is clear that is about hatred and not logic based on games also because Sony also owns a handheld that has their own library that doesn't exist on MS or Nintendo.
While a case for Nintendo vs MS as a Sony supporter means that the difference between both is that MS has West support (irrelevant for Sony supporters since they already have it), Nintendo has their own games (like MS but MS has the smallest studios of any of the big publishers) and also some sort of 3rd party japanese support for their handheld. To someone that love games is clear that ignoring Nintendo is better than Ignoring MS.
IT could also be that Sony supporters hate MS but the case isn't as clear because MS threads are dead on /v/ (so you can't measure shitposting) and the fact that the difference between MS and Nintendo is more clear than Sony vs MS, which means that difference has to play a role in the fact that most Sony Supporters choose to Kill MS and Ignore Nintendo. The truth is, not really honestly. Sony's anime division survives on brand alone. Their own IP actually suffer as a consequence of going after popular established manga series and creating hit series that do well for merch and their music sales. In short, they can be replaced very easily where as Toei and Bandai have very rich portfolios of original IP. Sony doesn't have that. They have IP they could draw from but they aren't successful and are tied to other sides of the company that make it difficult. That is Sony's true weakness in the film industry too. They don't own anything of value in an era where franchises mean everything.
